Today has already been a busy day for Renee...this morning she had a feeding tube inserted through her stomach. The procedure went smoothly and she is back in her room resting comfortably. The doctors are slowly lowering the sedation medication, Versed, and her pain medication. Renee is still heavily sedated, but wakes every once in a while to give us a smile and look at the many photos we are decorating her room with.
Right now the focus is on healing from the two recent procedures (tracheostomy and the feeding tube). She is doing great and continues to show us the amazing strength she has.

Sabrina & Audrey, thank you for taking the time to keep everyone updated. I hope you both are taking care of yourselves! Renee is so lucky to have you both around her.
